Do you say scroll up or scroll down to see the bottom of a page on a screen?

If it is scroll down, why do you flick up on a phone? Or move your mouse up on a computer screen.

There were holy wars in the late 1900s fought over this.

@intothewestaway I find it helpful for minimizing confusion and frustration to say something like: “scroll down _on the page_” or “scroll _the page_ up.”

In both of these cases, I’d expect that the person would move the viewport towards the bottom of the page.
