Musk is not some mavericky maverick operating "outside of the media." He owns Xitter, and treats it as a propaganda mouthpiece for fascist ideas, so he is the media.
And despite his 'both sides' mumbo jumbo, he's right-wing media. He's Rupert Murdoch in black t-shirt with a more modern publishing model, but he absolutely exerts editorial control.
He also has direct control over reach and how searchable his political enemies and their posts are on his platform.
And he absolutely abuses that and boosts himself and his "in group" of fascist friends.

Every time a billionaire supports something, and you support that same thing, you should seriously rethink your support of that thing.
