As I understand it the roadmap for Bluesky is to reinvent the internet. As flawed as activitypub is, imho it’s the better bet.

As I understand it the roadmap for Bluesky is to reinvent the internet. As flawed as activitypub is, imho it’s the better bet.

And I’d add this, don’t depend on Threads to validate the fediverse. That’s not what they’re doing. Some of the people working there have good hearts and mean well, but Meta is a huge company, competing with other huge companies, and the goals of the fediverse do not show up in their roadmap.

This is based on a lifetime of observing this process.
