just block the entire "threads.net" domain
add it to your "hosts" file as well.
Firewall it.

@mastodonmigration How were those compiled? How do you add names? I see a few professional astronomers missing who now regularly post here on Astronomy (and who used to have ~10k followers on Twitter before, including myself or @vicgrinberg).

Thank you for replying. The criteria for selection is simply accounts that post regularly on the subject. The hope is to solicit input like yours from the community. If you could provide a list here in reply of recommended accounts they can be added to the pack.
Edit: Have added both you and @vicgrinberg to the pack. Please feel free to reply with the accounts you recommend. This is indeed the purpose of this effort!

Honestly its been a lot of work, but also a lot of fun and very interesting. Hopefully people will enjoy the new lists. Have been loving looking at these things every morning. What used to be a big hodgepodge of feeds is now really curated more nicely. Love to get some feedback on other's experience, as well as suggestions for additions of both packs and accounts for existing packs.

Awesome! Will get started on Astronomy2 pack and publish it in the next Directory update!
Just FYI uploading Astronomy2 will add accounts to the 'Astro' list, but finding it much better to manage/admin reasonable size packs of around 25 accounts.
