You know, there are several interfaces, including most Mastodon forks, which allow some level of HTML formatting on the text of posts, and any server owner can set the character limit higher than 500. We have a 1000 character limit here, and I've seen it as high at 60,000.I keep wondering if someone from #cohost is going to start their own instance, maybe with Sharkey or Glitch, and try to bring people from there on it. That'd definitely be welcome on the network.
