@Snowshadow @gemelliz The entire issue could be turned around with "Woman MP's don't get child-care support? Look what it costs!" Instead we get this accusatory misinformation, from a publicly funded broadcaster?

@pinhman @gemelliz
First, it is interesting they chose a woman and there is nothing said about PP and other male MPs.I still think that amount of money is too much. Also, I am sorry she could have gone on her own there's no need to take the entire family.
That goes for all MPs no matter what party. Additionally, why not virtual meetings? There truly is no need for people to meet face to face to share information.
-
@Snowshadow @gemelliz Yes, all valid criticisms, but all MP's take advantage of it. Why the focus on a woman MP with young twin children, to inflate costs and outrage, or identify an inequity? https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/political-parties-spending-rules-1.7204136

@Snowshadow @gemelliz " the top six claimants with the highest designated traveller expenses are from Western Canada.
Of those six, all but one are Conservatives"

@Snowshadow @pinhman @gemelliz in the same article where they criticize two trips, one where she took family, they Also criticize her for using zoom to attend parliamentary proceedings 90% of the time, which probably saved taxpayers ten times the amount she expensed on one trip.
It is basically an anti-Family hit piece disguised as “concern” for taxpayers money.

@Snowshadow @pinhman @gemelliz the TF are used by every media org as a source.

"It is basically an anti-Family hit piece disguised as “concern” for taxpayers money."
And we wonder why women are dissuaded from entering politics.

@gemelliz @Snowshadow @pinhman precisely

@gemelliz @Snowshadow @pinhman I wouldn’t be surprised if the article was pitched by the CTF. They are not only generally full of misinformation they also dabble in the standard right wing culture war nonsense and misogyny.
