Moving into a new place is always sort of painful. But at least the Internet there is pretty good. Pixel 7 in the living room.

@timbray I have the need. For speed.

@bplein @timbray I have 4. Two on the top floor ceiling at opposite sides of the house, one on the main floor that’s in wall and blasts towards the majority of the open floor plan and then one in the basement.
I used to have ones on the front and back exterior but they really didn’t get used and when we painted I pulled them out and never put them back.

@wesdottoday @bplein @timbray I've got pretty good spread at the moment, the high retries on that one 2.4 radio annoy me as a matter of pride but aren't noticeable as everything in that spectrum are just isolated IoT devices and as long as they work well enough to send whatever bits they need out, it's fine. My main network and guest network are 5Ghz only.

@wesdottoday @vmstan @bplein FWIW I'm in a 3-story place with in-floor radiant heating, which basically means a layer of concrete between floors, which is death on WiFi. Fortunately, the house is well-wired with cat5. So I have one ethernet-connected WiFi router on each level. Simple and seems to work OK.
