Someone giving you a 5 hour energy, energy drink, aspirin, or ibuprofen is fine - but them giving you a caffeine pill seems sketchy.

I would think this is pretty obvious since the majority of people don’t take caffeine in pill form and have no experience with it…

No-Doze is pretty popular, or was, for decades.

I switched to caffeine pills a few months ago, when I realized just how much caffeine I was using.
I'm down from >1200mg/day to 200mg/day.

Why would this be sketchy? If someone offered me a caffeine pill i would gladly take it, just like i would a shot of espresso. Its not even that its in pill form because you'd apparently be fine taking other pills from that person, but you draw the line at caffeine?

Because drugs are bad mmmkay?
And drugs are defined by tv shows. Drugs are pills.
Also, talk about drugs anywhere and you'll encounter 40-somethings with an unreasonable hatred of drugs. They get crazy. That's the "just say no" propaganda talking. It was pushed in the schools in the 80s, and we still hear the echoes.
It's a testament to the power of media and propaganda.
