Someone (on Tumblr) was wondering if my teeth keyboard would have better feel on their fingers, since they're autistic.

@frang oooh there's an idea
-
-
@foone sandpaper's not that bad. Like, scratchy, sure, but like, you could do fiberglass. Or like something gritty and unpleasantly textured like chalkboard rather than just scratchy
-
@foone WAIT
GLUE TRAP
Whole new meaning to sticky keys! -
@heckinwes I may have to try that
-
@foone because the pun? ouo
-
@heckinwes it's a good bad idea even without the pun, but the pun makes it even better
-
@foone Okay, but like different textures on every key would be an amazing accessibility feature.
-
@DasGanon or nightmare, depending on autism.
-
@foone Soft rubber dimples with a hard clicking mechanism if you press hard enough (slightly more than you'd use typing on a regular keyboard) on them, like clicking the top of a pen to bring the point in or out.
The clicking mechanism does absolutely nothing.

@foone the pinchboard: each key has some kind of lever or wedge mechanism so they pinch your fingertips every time they're pressed

@beeoproblem I've got plans for a keyboard that does this!
-
@foone every time a key is pressed it gives an electric shock through the keycap
-
@august alternatively, every time a key is pressed it activates the shock collar around the user's neck
-
@foone a keyboard with velocity sensing, like on musical keyboards, and accompanying software that adjusts the font size accordingly, on a per-character basis
-
@anotherwalther I've long wanted to make that! But, you know, money.
-
@foone love how the keyboard suggestions in your replies are getting progressively kinkier
-
@fullfathomfive it makes sense. My keyboards are slapstick comedy, and BDSM is just horny slapstick comedy.
