the quality of china discussion on here is.. bad.
-
@buermann twitter was better in some ways because the people who spoke chinese and worked on this stuff for a living were all there. not to say they were right about anything, but it was there and better than here.

@skinnylatte
If it makes you feel any better, I really enjoy your posts and your thoughts on things! -
@noah thanks
-
@skinnylatte The fact that there's been almost no discussion of the cataclysmic flooding & infrastructure destruction in China this summer, even among climate heads, shows how ignorant we are.

@Nazani I stopped using the climate hashtags here after I saw that many people who were criticizing COP20 (rightly) were also doing it to criticize ‘the camel fu*kers*
I don’t feel like there’s more room for discussion about the rest of the world here on many topics
-
@davidho does sometimes post here but I think a lot of the climate scientists prefer more familiar surroundings.

@carrideen ahaha I feel like Americans should know that Chinese disinfo AND reality really, has been so effective that many people in Asia now think of the U.S. as unsafe, to the point of it’s a war zone, AND dirty and filthy and bad trains and pee on train stations
-
@Homebrewandhacking @Nazani @davidho it’s a topic I want to engage in more, but I haven’t had a good experience with this topic on here so I just stick to my safe ones
