In the last two weeks I started the ACOTAR (A Court of Thorns and Roses) series and have so wholly been swept up in the story and characters in a way I haven't felt since reading Outlander and Wheel of Time.

It is not everyone's cup of tea in regards to genre but I had so missed that feeling when reading a series.
If I was 13 years old, I'd be making Livejournal icons and perusing the LJ communities. It's a little bit of a nostalgic thing for me. It reminds me of my early internet days.

Because whatever thing I was fixated on, I could go find endless communities of likeminded people on fan sites and even livejournal.
It was lovely and authentic.

@seaotta I not so secretly love these books. SJM is great even when she missteps sometimes.
I'm actually fascinated by this genre and have been reading a lot of it because I'm contemplating writing a (terrible) book like it. I want the protagonist to be a little older though. Most of them are terrible so it should fit right in.
SJM is great though and I like the Fourth Wing series so far too.

@sia I can't wait to read all her other books. Still on book 3 of ACOTAR at the moment but I love it. And Rhys
