The most fascinating thing about all of this is to watch so many people exclusively thinking in terms of all good or all bad. Have you considered no side being a saint? Or that you can do a good thing for a bad reason. Or a bad thing for a good reason. Or aim for a good thing for a good reason with a bad intention. You could even be a good person and do bad stuff. Or any combination or variation of the above!

@kraftner People often "reason" like computer in boolean way: zero-false, one-true. Consider this: once my best friend said that a particular song was not the best if performed by a same-sex couple. He's been labeled "homophobic". But he's GAY and a pianist who studied music/singing for years and that song's harmony is created to fit together with lower -male- and higher -female- voices singing in poliphony. No one arrests you if you sing it, but 2 men simply go out of tune!

@kraftner It's like saying that playing piano part of "bohemian rhapsody" with distorted guitar, ruins the song's effect. No one prohibits a rock/metal band to play it but could a music expert give a negative judgment without being labeled an anti-metal person? Why this need to label something "good" or "bad" with no objection? Zero and one are numbers but to their right and left there's plus and minus infinite. Same for colors, smells, sounds, etc. Nothing is "absolute".

@talksina Thanks for that great story, bookmarked for reference when needed!
Yeah. Sadly we all know why it is like that: All people (And I of course do not exclude myself from that) on an intuitive and emotional level prefer simple and clear answers. It requires a lot of effort and discipline to avoid that trap by stepping back and letting things sink in first. It's rarely ever a good idea to shout out your first hot thought, no matter how clear things appear. -

@kraftner Life is complex and every attempt to reduce it with simple yes/no is a fake illusion. Applies to food, sexuality, clothes, whatever.

@kraftner btw I do not understand what you refer to, when talking about "great story" - the one of my friend and songs, or the one I posted about WordPress?

@talksina Oh sorry that wasn't clear. I meant the song story, but it actually applies to both.
Looking forward to getting to know you in person in Roma! -

@kraftner No, about my logistics, something I have to solve with the person who comes with me.
