It would be nice if there were a web standard for server side rendering of markup. Something that maybe works with web components and is more integrated than 3rd party libraries. Something that is efficient and optimized.
Make the whole stack simple again.

Attached: 1 image Almost ready to risk rolling out my home-grown #ssr solution for #webcomponents on https://code.movie/. The last step is to make it opt-in, at least for the moment. The postHTML plugin has grown to almost 40 SLOC, the "framework" (= bunch of workarounds for SSR) is at almost 100.

@Schepp I love it but no, not really. I want to see this standardized not post-processed. I feel like there might be advantages to a standardized server side language around API calls, database integration, and seamless handoff enabling server side hydration to client side updates.
Like how CSS vars can do more than Sass or PostCSS vars.
