Senator Bernie Sanders will be the first to tell you that he has differences of opinion with how the Biden-Harris administration has handled the war in Gaza, but he has a simple message for people who are still thinking of sitting out this election or casting a protest vote for a third-party candidate this year: “Please don’t do that.” He tells Ali Velshi that Donald Trump and the Republicans are “far, far worse” for the country on many issues, including the war in Gaza. “Trump and Netanyahu are both right-wing extremists,” he says. “They’re in bed together.” Meanwhile, as Elon Musk takes on a central role in Trump’s campaign, Sen. Sanders pulls the focus back on the Supreme Court’s controversial Citizens United ruling. “What you are seeing is a result of Citizens United. It’s really the undermining of American democracy in a way that we have never seen.”
