I could do everything my website does with just SSI and a script to generate an RSS feed, I think.

I kinda wish Neocities supported SSI. But whatevs

@noracodes Yeah Apache and those sort of thing support server-side includes. But then you have to manage a server, maybe put Cloudflare in front of it, etc. I use a package called dessi that pre-processes the includes and outputs a static html site I can host for free on Netlify or whatever.

@ak True enough. nora.codes is already run on my own infrastructure, so that's fortunately not an issue for me.
I also don't use Cloudflare
