@megmac I don't see Carney that way. I see a highly experienced, highly intelligent person with a very strong desire to serve the country. The PM is our face outwards to the world, he/she is not a provincial premier, whose face is purely to their province.

@LillyHerself @megmac @dyckron He may be all that but first and foremost the leader of a party needs to convince Canadians to vote for them. I think for most Canadians he's a complete unknown.

@Chigaze A guy who has held two of the most significant international positions in the world economy, and you're telling me Canadians are so ill-informed they haven't heard of him? The guy's signature is literally on about 10 years' worth of Canadian banknotes.

@LillyHerself @Chigaze @megmac @dyckron he didn't do anything interesting as BoC gov. Business as usual. Didn't do anything to educate govt or public on how the BoC's stabilization of the financial system is Canada's largest private industry subsidy.
It's probably not hard to find someone from the financial industry with a lot more charisma that's done more than drive a driverless train.
