@randomgeek new microcontrollers just arrived and they all support circuitpython out of the box. I could go write my usual C or maybe learn FreeRTOS. but maybe instead I could learn python and have another marketable skill.

@sungo It's got its useful contexts, that's for sure.
With Python-based languages, I always wonder where the syntax fork is. CircuitPython is described as based on Python 3. Could be worse. Still a little frustrating, since for my tastes 3.7 was when Python started to feel properly fire-tested.

@randomgeek They’ve also disabled threading so I can’t leverage the multi-core boards I have. Which means I can’t use circuitpython for those use cases…. So maybe I’m back to plan “learn freertos”.
