If you've been living with tachycardia for a while, but then medication reduces heart rate to normal levels, can that give a feeling of being short on breath?

Like, it's not strong.. could also be due to muscles in the chest post cardiac events the other night.
Or slim chance a reaction to medication (but there wasn't any warning of such potential complications)

@thisismissem Yes, but even more so blood pressure. Definite huge interplay between cardiac and pulmonary systems, and our ability to sense is kinda vague.

@thisismissem speaking solely from my own personal experience, 100% yes.

@aredridel yeah, blood pressure is lower than it had been. My pulse oximetry is fine, %SpO2 is 97-99, heart rate is within the normal range, but sometimes I just feel shorter on breath even though.. I'm not really?
I guess I'm just experiencing all the new things atm, I know after all these things I'm gonna experience new things.

@aki mmm, okay, cool.
Will probably speak with my doctors if it continues, but yeah, just having to remind myself that it might just be new but not bad

@thisismissem yes. Iβve been dealing with the same thing. Been meaning to talk to my doctor more about it though.

@thisismissem I even went to a pulmonologist to get a lung capicity test done thinking that smoking in my early 20s was to blame. Came back clean but I do believe the meds to help my tachycardia are to blame as the symptoms started around then.
Not a doctor though and canβt say anything for certain

@kpwags mmm, in my case it's that I was given some sort of blood pressure medication following having needing to have my heart stopped the other night.. but yeah, since my blood pressure and plus have been significantly lower than they had been, which I guess is good, but I guess my pulse having been higher resulted in more oxygen circulating or something & that's why I'm feeling at times out of breath.

@thisismissem I have been on medication for tachycardia for a few years, but I'm only short of breath when I exercise. It might be a good idea to talk to a nurse or other medical person.

@dgoldsmith to clarify: I'm not on medication, was just on it for 24-48 hours
But the outcome is my heart beating normally.
