I didn't know where to put this, but I'll put it here. As a new range of articles about the book scanning court case hit the hotsheets, a range of places meant to be havens of commentary and discussion start building up a froth. A lot, especially HackerNews, seem to be masters of the low ratio information-to-wild-declaration thread soup, but only Hackernews seems to harbor some theme that Brewster Kahle is an idiot.

Hackernews threads over the last 4 years will always have a few of these posts. "Get rid of him. Not another dime to donate, until he's removed, etc." Just endless bros doing random made-up demands like it's a Fantasy Football League.
I'll just say. I've been working closely with the guy for nearly 14 years. He's got big ideas, bigger than many are capable of. He's got bravery and he's true to his vision. He's not an idiot.

I mean, sure, debate this choice, that choice, and everything else. Then realize when you're just cosplaying being the head of an organization that has survived 30 years doing something that no other organization has been doing (even Google's out of the Web History biz), then maybe we can drill down where you think the Internet Archive has gone east when it should have gone west, etc. Sure, let's debate and discuss that.
