It is 2024, and I am once again trying to schedule a COVID vaccination appointment
on an online system that is apparently buckling under load (repeatedly hanging, giving errors, just generally crapping out)
and does not clearly indicate whether the vaccine is the latest fall 2024 one
and I’m stuck online because the one actual human pharmacist I was able to reach on the phone has no clue when they’re getting the new one, and can’t schedule on the phone
in the year twenty twenty fucking four

@inthehands I would check with pfizer and moderna on release info. Both are still somewhat difficult to store long term, so once they start shipping, within a pretty small time providers will be using it.
If providers are not storing properly or are using long stored covid vax, then they need to be shut down.

@bertwells
Yeah, the point of the post is just that this should be crystal clear, the appointment process should work, and I should not •have• to jump through all these hurdles even if I am capable of jumping through them. -

@inthehands the last time I tried to be expedient and nab an early appointment, it was cancelled because they hadn't actually received any vaccines yet.

@ttpphd That happened to me once too!
