“The Human Machine Interface team at Chevy nailed the Equinox EV. You step in, you pull the satisfying shifter to drive off, you adjust your radio and HVACs via nice, well-located switches, the crisp and vibrant screen feels well integrated into the dash — it’s a great example of how to just get the fundamentals right and not try to overcomplicate things (something that has happened a lot in the EV space, especially in the early days when automakers felt all EVs had to feel like spaceships).”
GM Nailed The New Chevy Equinox EV, But Would You Actually Buy One? - The Autopian
I recently had a chance to drive the 2025 Chevy Equinox EV, and overall, I liked it. It’s a competent and fun machine, and it’s priced really well, relative speaking. But right now the EV market is in a tricky spot, and the new Equinox EV is entering the lion’s den. So I have to […]

@jalefkowit thanks. I’ll check it out now, you made me curious. I wonder if the infotainment is really as good as for people to not miss Apple CarPlay.

@deeplyaware Probably not, but if dealers are offering discounts because they’re worried about sagging EV sales it might be worth living with. Not many EV options out there at this price point, sadly.

@jalefkowit Inject this (great UX) straight into my veins!

@flyingcircuits I’ve wondered for a while if one could make a go of a YouTube channel that reviewed cars strictly on UX. Don’t even talk about 0-60 times, just walk through how many steps it takes to turn on the air conditioning

I love our hybrid Hyundai Tucson but there's one big UX miss the bothers me every time I get inThere are 'saved' options for both my husband and myself that auto-adjust the driver's seat based on our preferences. So why TF can't it also save the settings for the side mirrors? Having to readjust them every time after he drives the car feels like an obvious UX flaw

yes, I can see how that extra 10 seconds spent on readjusting the mirrors could ruin one's day.

@BillMcGuire @kims Who said anything about ruining one's day?
You can't understand how someone might find it annoying to have to do this unnecessary little task over and over again?
This is a rude response. You should delete it.

@BillMcGuire @kims Why snark at someone who is just sharing their experience? What's it to you?
