Not so good: RJ75 Train from #Brno to #Vienna had a 70 minute delay, so I missed the connection in Vienna and had to switch to the RJ268 from Vienna to #Munich, where I had no seat reservation anymore and the train is crowded.

But I'll make it to Munich. Unfortunately 2h later than planned. #CrossBorderRail

The good part? The whole trip from Brno to Munich was 37€, so dirt cheap (Super Sparpreis Europa, special offer from Deutsche Bahn)

And arrived in #Munich, where a bit of snow is falling and a beer is waiting.

It's always good to sit down with a beer after a New Hire event. The energy I get from the new Red Hatters, their careful enthusiasm in the morning that typically turns into a group that has bonded and leaves full of smiles and good vibes. #LifeAtRedHat

@jwildeboer on my new hire orientation after the dinner one guy went missing and another woke with blood all over his clothes on a bench at the other side of Munich. Even after 14 years I remember who was with me at the NHO, memories for lifetime.

@sesivany Ah, the weird times and the strange things that Munich has to "offer" In Brno we seem to be more safe and relaxed the next morning

I joined #RedHat back in 2005. A few years after that we started the New Hire program. I was part f it from the beginning. Tasked to talk about the culture and history of Red Hat. The story I share hasn't changed much over the many years. But sharing all the weird things that led to the (IMHO) victory of FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) and its principles always makes people think, in a positive way. Which makes me feel good too

@jwildeboer I remember you were having a cigarette in front of the office when we arrived with the guy in the morning. You looked at his bruised face and blood-stained jacket and laughed hard saying that this is the reason why you always leave the NGO dinner early.

@sesivany IIRC I first asked if he was OK and he was all manly about it
