Here are my notes thus far.

The elephant in the room I think people are ignoring is Bluesky is still an application run by a for profit corporation. What’s to stop this from repeating Twitter’s folly and being bought out and changed?
It’s still trying too much to be another Twitter IMHO. Anyway continuing exploring and testing of Bluesky.

@chiefgyk3d I had to stop talking about BlueSky. Every time I did, I'd get some asshat in the replies telling me I'm wrong, and when I ask how? They provide no proof.
CEO even engaged in this behavior with me.
I don't talk about BlueSky until they provide proof of actual decentralization in their protocol and their users understand what decentralization means.
If their hardware HAS to connect to BlueSky, there's no decentralization. Decentralization includes the choice of where your data is going. With BlueSky, that choice doesn't exist.

@chiefgyk3d Too much effort and difficult discoverability compared to what? #Mastodon / #Fediverse has by far the worst discoverability out of all social media platforms, especially on smaller instances.
It's so easy to find content and engagement on #Bluesky thanks to custom feeds and starter packs.
Agree with the centralized part. I don't think it will ever be truly decentralized. The more it grows the more expensive the relays become.
The amount of PDS' don't matter as they are useless without corporate run relays. -

@jasdemi
Can’t take people seriously especially with the discoverability and too much effort. It’s for sure easier than Mastodon. Do a blind test of 10 people then get back to me. This clearly isn’t meant to be objective and it’s so weird and corny.
