It's finally election day in the #US, and in about 14 hours, you will finally hear us shut up about it.
Until then, we'll be pushing for people to VOTE.
I believe that Trump and the Republicans will do everything they've said and more. We need to believe them, and get out the vote to stop them: whatever issues we might have with Kamala Harris, she is, at the end of the day, a caring and responsible candidate. Trump 2.0 will be a disaster for all of us.
If you have not voted, DO IT TODAY. Don't "wait and see", just get out there and VOTE FOR KAMALA HARRIS.
So many states could tip the close balance, including...
#Pennsylvania
#NorthCarolina
#Georgia
#Florida
#Iowa
#Michigan
#Wisconson
#Texas
#Nevada
#Alaska
...and likely your own state.Talk to your friends: if you know anyone who hasn't voted yet, reach out to them, offer to take them to the polls, do what you can to get these people where they need to be.
Too much is at stake to not vote for Kamala Harris. Go out and vote!

I know for a lot of people this sounds like we are just simping for some candidate as if we were paid, but they're really is a stark difference.
Kamala Harris has talked of unity and the importance of respecting all #Americans, regardless of #race, religion, #queerness, or political opinion. Trump has brought wild divisive statements to new heights, claiming that Haitian immigrants are eating pets, Jews would be to blame for his loss, and members of the press and his own party should be shot.
It is no surprise that #MassShootings and other #HateCrimes shot up during his first campaign and peaked during his presidency, along with #CrimeRates in general.
Generally speaking, one can't even exist without seeing the ripple effects of this: people on the news, on the streets, at the kitchen table, repeating wildly divisive #misinformation that Trump and his movement have normalized.
We need to move away from the politics of #bigotry, #scapegoating, division.
We need to vote for Kamala Harris.

Despite all the arguments Trump supporters have made to the contrary, #democracy is probably the best system of government we have, especially in terms of forcing politicians to consider the needs of the people, and enforcing norms against #corruption.
Kamala Harris has repeatedly talked about the need to #protect the right to #FreeSpeech and protest, even as she deals with a hyper-critical #news #media and #protestors at her own rallies. Trump and his people literally talk about ending the democracy and shooting protestors and reporters: Elon Musk even bought Twitter to mass-ban journalists, and now he wants control of the #FCC.
It is no coincidence that Trump was one of the most #corrupt presidents in modern history, and the prospect of electing someone who talks this way about democracy should terrify people. Many have been fooled into thinking this is a good idea, abd we need to outvote them.
This election is a mandate on democracy itself: a vote for Kamala Harris really is a vote for democracy.

And the individual policy priorities are important too.
Kamala Harris offers a continued #economic recovery (the US is currently leading the world in #job growth) with a renewed focus on #unions, #SmallBusiness, and the average person. Trump offers more tax cuts for #billionaires and passing the burden to the average person, a policy that proved disastrous in the 2019 #financial downturn.
Kamala Harris has talked about the need to expand healthcare access. Donald Trump tried to repeal the Affordable Care Act, claiming he would replace it with the "best healthcare plan", a promise that he has never elaborated on in the past 8 years beyond claiming to have "a concept of a plan".
Harris talks about #house prices, #PriceGouging in the #food industry, infrastructure and job creation, clean energy and #environmentalism, #ChildCare... Trump rambles vaguely about these things, but talks primarily about himself and how great he is.
The choice is clear. Don't let white supremacists make it for you. GO VOTE.

Do not let optimistic pollsters fool you into thinking this election is already won: the majority of votes that will be cast are going to be cast today, and we are down to the fucking wire.
The #2024election will decide whether the #US remains a stable democracy, or devolves into some sort of crazy white supremacist fascist thing.
This is too important to think you don't need to go out and vote, or to #protest the obvious flaws of the two-party system with a #ThirdParty vote that won't stop Trump from getting elected. Even if you aren't excited about Kamala Harris herself, we need her to win.
So many states are on the line, and any one of them could be the one that tips it to Kamala Harris, and yours may well be one of them. Hell, #Texas, #Florida, #Alaska, and #Iowa are seeing some surprisingly close numbers.
Don't let #WhiteSupremacists and #fascists make this decision for you.
Go out and outvote them.
Get your friends to vote.
Today is the final day, and we don't get another shot at this.
