I’m of the opinion that one should check for culture fit at a workplace by asking the question: donuts or bagels and cream cheese for breakfast meetings?
-
@aud @skinnylatte fr. ever been to Eltana in cap hill? "wood fired bagels"
-
@[email protected] @[email protected] what the fuck
that's just bread -
@skinnylatte another question is how shit is the pizza they order. How cheap and nasty do they go. Just shows how terribly they'll treat you.
-
@aud @skinnylatte and worse, it's not even good bread
-
@[email protected] @[email protected] so we moved from Seattle to Boston, where I had my first not bad bagel? And then we moved to Brooklyn and
even before I had superior bagels, I could tell how not good the Seattle ones were. And now... mmmph. nope.
(also WOOD FIRED BAGELS WHAT) -
@aud @inherentlee SF has sourdough bagels which just makes me so upset
-
@vwdasher oh! We had pizza from the best place
-
@[email protected] @[email protected] so... wh..
look, I love sourdough. A lot. If you could pickle bread, I would eat it. Alright? But that's just fucking wrong. -
@vwdasher @skinnylatte and of course the coffee source. I should have left when a previous (very profitable) employer swapped the not even very fancy coffee machine for tins of instant to save money. It was a bad sign
-
@seawall oooh
-
@joannaholman @vwdasher Intel is now saying ‘fine we will bring back free shitty coffee look how much we care’ ahahaha
-
@skinnylatte I used to work at a "bagels and cream cheese Tuesday" and "breakfast burritos for All Hands" place, which was amazing, but I believe it was a zero interest rate phenomenon, because then they also did 16% layoffs in 2022
