@aeisenberg YES. I have never been beyond Prince George or Prince Rupert.

@sleepy62 EXACTLY. Also, a public utility seems to help. (We found Quebec Hydro’s network in 2022 to be as good or better than BCH!)

@NuanceRhymesWithOrange @sleepy62 in fairness, when we went across in 2022, Ontario’s network over Lake Superior wasn’t bad!

@NuanceRhymesWithOrange @sleepy62 @chris I can imagine Ford putting in Shoppers Drug Mart branded beer vending machines every 150km on remote Ontario highways.

Its the rural parts of Sask and Alberta where we had to plan carefully. Sadly can't see Danny and Moe supporting something like this, even though #Saskpower could do this in heartbeat if they got the mandate.

For the cost of the TMX we probably could have rolled this out nation wide.

On a related note: I’m in Kamloops this week keeping my Dad company while my Mom takes a much needed vacation, and the 7-Eleven in Aberdeen has rolled out a couple of 7-Eleven branded 90kW DC fast chargers here. I can only surmise this is part of a wider rollout for the company. -

Hmm, the app claims they’re 180kW (it also says 1xCHAdeMO 3xCCS, but theres only two towers. I wonder which vendor makes their hardware?)I may have to make a trip down there to take a look. 🤨

Got a look at the hardware; it’s not equipment that I recognize, but it looks like both nozzles on each charger can be used at the same time.Based on the layout and form-factor of the chargers my guess is that they’re like the On the Run chargers with internal batteries.

@crispius it looks like an updated version of the Ivy chargers in Ontario. (This is a pic from Thunder Bay in 2022)
