Island/Coastal folks of BC love to complain about the ferries, but at the end of the day, we love riding on the boat! Why else would we all lineup for it! Right @KingShawn !?

Relatable moment… We were once just a few cars away from making that ferry. We were new to town and lived just up the road and underestimated the wait/line.

@chris Speaking from experience, we HATE doing that. I know, at least at Langdale Terminal, our Equipment Operators do their damndest to get everyone on board and we all feel bad when we leave someone behind.

aaaand... already on my way back across the Salish Sea. Just saw the splash from some orca (according to the Captain who let everyone know!) along the shore of Bowen Island, but nothing more

@chris I'm so glad this Island is now my home, too. When I came to scout it out, the natural habitat felt like I belonged. I have a theory that something in my bones recognizes the rocky shore, moss, ocean and mist from the places my ancestors left behind. Maybe a bit of fantasy on my part, (maybe epigenetics?). But it feels right, can always soothe my soul by the oceanside. (Also, grateful that the Snuneymuxw people still welcome settlers to learn from, care for, protect and enjoy the Land.)
