@Natanox oh wow, slimbook look really interesting, haven’t heard of them before. Proper pricing for initial component prices and non-soldered RAM and SSDs, plus some other optional components like a LTE-Modem, wow.
Interested to see what this turns into if they adopt CAMM and maybe also upcoming and current more energy-efficient processors. -

@PC_Fluesterer Those are refurbished. Also nice, but not the same as new.
Also don't know about iode. Didn't they partially run closed source components? -
@CIMB4 They started their first own design a while ago I think.

@Natanox
I am well aware of murena. Because of /e/OS. I am looking forward to going with a fairphone with /e/OS once my current smartphone gives up.Long way to go.

@i3le GrapheneOS and CalyxOS are good, I strongly argue AGAINST LineageOS as daily driver though unless you can't find a ROM for any of those mentioned above.
While LineageOS works well for smaller projects, the lack of microG makes it unsuitable for most people (who often can't limit themselves to F-Droid only). Especially the lack or extremely lackluster GPS on LineageOS makes it nonviable.
From my experience recommending LineageOS to most people always turned out to be a mistake.

@Natanox
You can get new ones as well. MY recommendation would be https://forum.shiftphones.com/ -

@PC_Fluesterer Not to that price point - Their device for 277€ even is almost obsolete and honestly ridiculous to sell at that price given the specs. Also, does ShiftOS Lite come with microG for app support? Flashing custom ROMs doesn't count, my original toot specifically was about tech for people that's accessible for everyone and works for them out of the box.
Don't want to down-talk Shift as a company, they seem really cool. It's just not the same in terms of price to 'performance'.

@Natanox commend E project as save seems Mike a mistake to me, it defends against Google services .
But makes you also adicted to Muta , self hosting oft Thema is possible but it is only for nerds ... -

@i3le /e/OS doesn't "defend" against Google services. Also who or what is Muta and "self hosting Thema"?? Please check before sending, this is too much auto-incorrect for me to understand.
