My best investment in gear has been getting good waterproof bike clothes that get me home dry even through big rain, puddles and inconsiderate drivers. Complete game changer!

@Techaltar What's the material? I'd like to keep an eye out for something like this on the used market/thrift stores.
-
@Techaltar how do these clothes deal with sweat?
-
@Techaltar do you have the specific brand and model for each?
These don’t look silly and the ones I’ve bought two years ago don’t work that well keeping me dry.
-
@Techaltar i bought some good stuff because SAME. i cycle to/fro work. staying dry is important.
i have noticed i sweat a lot in the rain clothes. what do/don't you wear, when wearing rain clothes? -
@Svenlaa I so sweat too, but I think having an ebike helps. Also I just don't bike very fast in the rain
-
@Semmelstulle not sure if it's the best of everything as I didn't do a ton of research, but:
- Patagonia jacket
- Decathlon rain pants
- Rapha gloves & hat under helmet
- Bellroy backpack (they sponsor me) -
@durchaus not perfect, but it's usually not a problem for me because I use an ebike and also intentionally bike slower when I am fully in these
-
@a_corbin not sure about he materials, but here is what I know https://mas.to/@Techaltar/113276372700725415
-
@Techaltar thanks! that must be it. i bike rather fast (approx 25k/h), on a non e-bike
-
@Techaltar This is the kind of content I'm on Mastodon for lol

@tedgravlin Happy to deliver it
