I mean... that's actually extremely awesome for so many reasons. He's chatting up the person in front of him as his giant USSS guard stands nearby. lol.

@human3500 @gemelliz What do you mean by taking long? Do you mean voting in general? the Election?

That picture is worth more than 1000 words, and is more American than apple pie.
Joe Biden is representing America right now.

@human3500 @gemelliz I don't really see it as a bad thing, but I guess it might be due to lack of funding for Elections staff, which could come down to Gerrymandering or Suppression of some sort.

Chris, it's an extremely bad thing. Republicans are a minority in the US. If they make it more difficult to vote, it drives down the number of votes they need. Their voters show up. We don't get the day off to vote. It's on a regular old Tuesday, not the weekend or a national holiday. Many have to work, then take care of family, leaving no time to stand on line for hours. Republicans are constantly putting up hurdles to vote. Suppression is the entire point. Racial minorities are not viewed as "real citizens" by some on the right, so anything that weakens their ability to vote is ok according to them. Certain I.D.'s, fewer machines, and now threats of violence or harassment. Voting in a democracy should be an easily exercised right, not some sort of anxiety filled obstacle course race. -

@WallyStevens @chris @human3500 @gemelliz I cancelled my WaPo subscription, but now I’m wondering if Bezos is competing with Musk to destroy a useful tool of the left wing.

I've read that people who live in the Navajo reservations sometimes make a 200-mile round trip *on horseback* in order to vote.
