Trying to untangle that turnout collapse, among other things: I really, really want to know what propaganda people were seeing in the dark recesses of Facebook or whatever that I have no idea about because it wasn’t targeting me. -

(And to be clear, this is •not• some kind of argument of “people were duped!” as an alternative to the blatant misogyny, racism, and xenophobia of this election. Rather I mean it as a supplement to that: misogyny, racism, and xenophobia dominated, clearly; how did the right wing capitalize on them?) -

I think there was
1) Misogynoir against Harris herself
2) Voter suppression in southern states
3) A depressed youth/Muslim/progressive vote because of Gaza and the Cheney endorsement, promises to have a Republican in her cabinet etc.
4) Extremely weird misinformation (the squirrel thing was baffling to anyone outside their circles, but I guess it worked for suburban weirdos! I also saw some "the party of Diddy Parties" stuff)Probably not an exhaustive list!
