I'm not sure calling Trump and Vance "weird" entirely compensates for running a "more of the same" campaign that insists on advertising how much "good Republicans" like them.

@gwynnion tbh, all of the status quo and making friends with "good republicans" undermines the utility of "weird". Not to mention the whole campaign.
The conclusion we're forced to draw is that republican policies are fine, actually. So "weird" must mean "distasteful," in spite of how much people were excited for it to mean "violent, controlling, entitled creeps."
Which I think goes a long way to explain how much all that enthusiasm and joy has cooled off in the last 2 weeks or whatever.
