There is one kind thing I have to say about Israeli right-wingers: they are more accepting of LGBT people than many Americans.

@burnoutqueen they're very vocal about using "gay" as an insult, but thankfully, most understand that a right to free speech goes both ways, that is, that their right to be homophobic is dependent on them not preventing others from talking freely.
Why? I have no idea. But attempting to explain to a right winger why homophobia is bad is considered as socially unacceptable as a right winger attempting to explain to a gay person why being gay is bad. Which is a good thing, probably?

@laxla Bibi is actually not a homophobe iirc, which is the kindest thing I would say about him.

@burnoutqueen correct. And call him Netanjahu, this is Voldemort logic.
Sara is though, it funny
Kinda annoying when non Israelis complain about Israel "abusing" its relatively ok queer rights, cause like. It's an actual point, Israelis don't see land conquer as inherently evil—call it culture—and blame the Palestinian Authority's and Gaza's existences on Palestinians not cooperating (which tbf, is true, they just forger the part where we didn't really attempt anything either since Rabbin was killed)—so the logic is, what's the difference between us and them? We have better queer rights/democracy/etc. already, so let us keep this state and give people citizenship instead of starting over.
It is annoying when the government is going with these points constantly when a part of it is actively attempting to harm queer rights, though, but that's Israelis' business, and as we know, the global left will always prefer shitting on Israel over cooperating with Israelis, so just, fuck off at this point.
