@melontini the appview is not something that needs federating? what are you hoping for, one person hosts the API and another hosts redis??? Do you know what "The Appview" is?
Not to mention that other appviews exist and are usable today
Appviews are not something that should federate, and as Christine Lemmer-Webber and people from the AT ecosystem have outlined over the past months, current AT infrastructure is not really federated but rather a different kind of distributed. Earlier AT infra, where things were Peer-To-Peer come much closer to our message-passing approach to federation

@[email protected] @[email protected] isn’t that activitypub where everyone is their own appview+relay+pds? appviews are usable regardless of what pds you are on. the entire point of an appview is to give a slice of the relay.
