It looks like I was added to a Mastodon starter pack under 'Miscellany'.

@dave @MayInToronto @skinnylatte CSV is the plain-text flavor of "everything's just a spreadsheet"

@jaredwhite @dave @MayInToronto i've been pushing the idea that 'most of the world is explainable through the lens of cults and databases'
-
@skinnylatte I'd agree with you, but all those microcommunities and tiny non-profits are using google sheets or sending 20 copies of spreadsheets, and you know it. What databases?
-
@MayInToronto @jaredwhite @dave spreadsheets are mini databases

@skinnylatte That's why we follow you.

@joewynne hehe thank you!

@MayInToronto spreadsheets and Notion db pages and Airtable and every iteration of all of that just tells me that some db dev should focus on a Microsoft access replacement on web, or make SQLite more user friendly

Thanks for mentioning the Miscellany pack. You are a great addition.
If anyone is interested in these Follow Packs check out this federated blog for a FAQ and Directory >>> @mastodonmigration.wordpress.com
In short, follow packs are a way to import entire groups of follows. Theyβre kind of like Bluesky Starter Packs, but not quite as convenient.
What's cool is they import follows into a list, so kind of a feed!

Absolutely, this is just a stop gap solution. There are efforts to create better, more integrated solutions coming. In particular @dansup is planning to introduce something soon. Looking forward to folding these Follow Packs into something better, but this is what we can do today.
