@skinnylatte Isn’t the rule of thumb that worse the service, better the food?
-
@pratik yeah, there are some cases where that’s not always true (I also like very high end dimsum restaurants with good service) but most of the time that’s true
-
@skinnylatte this is why I absolutely read the 1 star reviews. They tell you the real details.
-
This is mostly true: the 3.5 star Chinese restaurant is the real 5 star place
Some cases defy this (like I like *really* nice dimsum restaurants more than lower priced dimsum restaurants) but most of the time it’s true
Freddie Wong explains why he only eats at Chinese restaurants with 3.5 stars on Yelp
Filmmaker and VFX artist Freddie Wong only eats at Chinese restaurants with three and a half stars on Yelp.

@[email protected] SERIOUSLY. I think the ratings in those reviews should be automatically inverted, anyway. I'm happy if wait staff don't have to pretend that I am the sunshine in their life or that me walking into the restaurant is akin to Jesus alighting on the water. ffs.
