Composer's hide composer plus/+ button missing

My composer has lost this button. It just picked up and left without a word. Any idea how I can bring it back?

@pichalite That red button is gone. I don't see it. I tried clicking the approximate area, highlighting the area, but seems to be gone.
I am using persona theme + slate skin + my own very extensive css customization, but I don't recall removing the button.

@noobbb try disabling your "own very extensive css customization" and see if it shows up.

@pichalite lol I tried but it's still missing. I included two versions, one with and one without the preview window.

Browser code? Did you mean the admin / control panel? I don't see errors there. I would be happy to look at any specific pages and give screen shots if that helps?
Would changing the order of the plugins help? Currently, composer is loaded after many other plugins.
