Dog help me, I agree with Roger Ebert.

Dog help me, I agree with Roger Ebert. [edit to add: it's his domain, but not him. He passed in 2013. Someone's using his name after his death, which squicks me out.]
I have written and published books and stories that made not a damn bit of sense to anyone but me. I consider them vital parts of my work. Most of them get ignored.
"Megalopolis" and "Joker: Folie à Deux"; or, The Virtue of Burning Money | Features | Roger Ebert
How many times in a filmmaker’s life do they get the chance to do something that makes no sense to anyone but them?

@mwl Roger Ebert passed away in 2013.
The author of that article, is Matt Zoller Seitz.
I have no idea why Roger Ebert's personal domain is being exploited after his death. It seems, disrespectful to understate it.
I was intrigued by Megapolis though I didn't think it was a great movie I am grateful it took some risks and it felt less formulaic than a lot of schlock in theaters. Maybe I just like Aubrey Plaza a lot and was grateful to see her on screen more?
I really didn't like Joker: Folie à Deux. There are so many better musicals and BATMAN franchise installments and IMHO, not many worse ones.

@teajaygrey @mwl It's not being exploited. Ebert handed off direct management of the site in 2013, due to the decline in his health. He wanted it to go on as a place that promoted the work of other writers. It's managed by his widow and edited by Matt Zoller Seitz, a respected film critic and someone whose work Ebert featured on the site many times before he died. It's doing what he wanted it to do.

Thank you. Forty-six years ago on April 3, 1967, I became the film critic for the Chicago Sun-Times. Some of you have read my reviews and columns and even written to me since that time. Others were introduced to my film criticism through the television show, my books, the website, the film festival, or the Ebert Club and newsletter. However you came to know me, I'm glad you did and thank you for being the best readers any film critic could ask for.
