@julian a plugin can add a >=0.5.0 and say it's compatible with every version of NodeBB, while really not being so. You should make developers tell exactly what minor versions their plugin is compatible with, so they can't just put the wildcard in there and leave it.

I am currently switching from discourse to nodebb and saw that @bentael started to write a migration plugin in this thread. Does anybody know how goes this project ? Are users restored with same mails / creds ? Even if logged through steam login ?
Would be very nice to be able to backup my "old" discourse db :3

Hello there @jeff! We do support a migration plugin from Discourse to NodeBB. The friendly folks at TDWTF have migrated successfully, and they were instrumental in getting the migration plugin completed.
It looks like @Ben-Lubar's fork is the most up-to-date, so you can find it here: https://github.com/BenLubar/nodebb-plugin-import-discourse
