this week is the start of the pre-Massive Murray Paddle preparation crunch. Mostly because I'm too lazy to get this stuff done until there is a looming deadline. So today I kick off with setting up some battery boxes and making a bunch of phone calls to various suppliers of things I need.
-
by the end of this week I aim to have the tracker system hardware ready to go, the car serviced and ready to go, and the stuff I need for the boats ordered.
-
then next week is boat week, quite a bit to do on the big boat and a few little things on the tinny. Plenty of time if I keep moving.
-
@Kels_316 don’t forget the bungs! Wouldn’t want to be that guy at the ramp hey
-
@liamvhogan oh man, I've been that guy precisely enough times to have extreme PTSD about putting in the bungs.
-
@Kels_316 one of my jobs today is to buy some more bungs for a boat that was supplied with exactly one (1) bung
-
@liamvhogan both boats have two sets, it's the bare minimum.
-
@Kels_316 I am a boat designer. What colour shall I make this essential piece of equipment, well known for being lost or misplaced in the dark? Let’s make it black
-
@liamvhogan hmm never thought of this before but 3D printed glow in the dark bungs.
-
@Kels_316 would buy, at a premium
-
@liamvhogan @Kels_316 Don't stop there: 3D printed, glow in the dark, network enabled bungs with GPS trackers.
-
-
@liamvhogan @allrite @Kels_316 you’d make a fucken fortune, as long as the machine keeps working
-
-
@liamvhogan @allrite @Kels_316 bollards as part of the installation
-
-
@liamvhogan @allrite @Kels_316 bait might be a bit too far, but the rest of it, for a day of fishing, sure
