EDIT: Thank you! I'm all set!
So I need a tiny bit of traffic analysis on my Ghost website, but like…tiny. I don't need or want details, just a rough count of views (partly so I can pay for the right type licenses) and referrers, and GhostPro doesn't do that.
I don't want to use Google Analytics. I could use Plausible, but it produces more info than I need and the number of $10/month add-on services I use adds up. Recommendations?

@kissane You might fit into SimpleAnalytics' free plan. I use it on the lowest paid tier, it works great for simple stuff. https://www.simpleanalytics.com/

@kissane is this self-hosted Ghost or Ghost Pro?

@kissane Have you seen/considered Tinylytics? https://tinylytics.app/
I added Tinylytics to my site about a month ago to see if I can feel comfortable with even less than Plausible, and I definitely like it so far.
(The real standout feature for my particular use-case / fragile ego is Tinylytic's ability to let people add "kudos" to a post/page without logging in.)

@kissane I'm happy with Matomo (formerly piwik) — possibly heavier than you need but FOSS, well maintained and privacy-friendly
-
@dsalo GhostPro, I should have said!
-
@kissane I use Pirsch, does the job, not a strong recommendation though because I’m sure there are others that are similar and also do the job.
-
I should have clarified, I'm using GhostPro. I don't self-host anymore, my brain has too many things on it.
-
@kissane https://matomo.org and https://umami.is are the other options I've looked at in the past.
-
@ryanrandall Ooo thanks!
-
@kissane I’ve definitely run into the problem that never track anything means you can’t like, honestly purchase a font

@dingemansemark thank you!
-
@gilhova Thank you!
-
@simrob It's the silliest problem but I love the type designers and I want to do right!
-
@kissane You could go SUPER basic with https://www.goatcounter.com which is open source and comes with a hosted version.
-
@kissane how about just parsing your web servers logs? http://nginx.org/en/docs/syslog.html
-
@kissane I'm starting to think we were onto something with website hit counters.
-
@kissane I haven’t used all these, but researched a bit in the past. Could look at Countly, Piwik Pro”Core”, Umami.
