so frustrating that i was born 18 years and a few months ago, so that my legal transition has been a race against the clock before the inauguration and the inevitable day 1 executive orders he’ll make. i spent 2 months on a waitlist, got the name change finally granted just a couple weeks ago, but even having been as fast as i possibly could be, that still was not enough time to update my ID to use to get a passport under the correct name and gender. and now some executive order he’ll make will have it all be impossible. i’m so fucked. did everything i could as quickly as i could, filled out forms on my birthday to try to get everything done in time, and it was all hopeless. friends born just some months earlier got this done. friends with the support of their parents got this done. and im having to do it all on my own and it just wasn’t possible. i’m so devastated. and i have it so lucky too. even with my parents being as cruel as they are at least i was able to get the name change granted at all on my own. and at least i live in a liberal state where any of it is possible. feels like i have no right to complain but i’m so, so sad

it feels so selfish to be thinking about myself and my own problems right now

even with whatever advantages, don't make yourself feel like you can't be upset or sad. that is an immensely frustrating thing to deal with, like the universe is just hostile to you. I'm so sorry.

@[email protected] I just saw this: https://www.reddit.com/r/MtF/comments/1i6bbxd/a_legal_researchers_guide_to_trump_antitrans/
so if your passport application is already submitted, it may be possible for it to still be processed properly. not sure of your exact state, but hopefully something here is helpful
