During the first few weeks of Loops, I want to find and assemble a team of creators who want to pursue monetization in a way that works for our platform, for example: monthly subscriptions.
-
@dansup I agree that monetization will be crucial in the expansion of loops. I thought that it'd be a somewhat seamless transition from Mastodon to PeerTube because of modern editing software (my film editing experience dated back from the early 2000s). Boyyyy was I wrong. It still takes hours to edit a 5-minute long video. And that's not accounting for all the training I need to do with Moxxi before filming (that's enrichment so it pays for itself in intact furniture and happy neighbors).

@dansup honestly this sounds perfect for our observatory, I have been thinking of doing mini videos on observation nights, showing what's up, what the telescope sees... I'll definitely give it a try when it comes out! What a cool project
-
@dansup Dude, I canβt freaking wait to test and review Loops. The Fediverse needs something like this, desperately.
-
@deadsuperhero You are going to be among the first cohort of beta testers, the TestFlight and Google Play beta is very near.
-
-
@silverpill Oh thats awesome, I'll be in touch!
-
@dansup @deadsuperhero how is the music integration planned to work? (thinking the way Instagram and Tiktok let you do it)
and also I hope you're strapped to your teeth in lawyers because you'll get sued off the planet if you don't have the licensing sorted out -
@feld @deadsuperhero Users will be able to share and remix "sounds" (that don't contain copyrighted music), but when it comes to music licensing, I'm still looking into that!

looks like sub.club could be perfect for this π§

@quillmatiq @dansup @subclub @bart The existence of sub.club implies the existence of findom.com
