@marioguzman, can macOS be configured to turn on the computer by pressing any key on the external keyboard, just like on MacBooks?

Better yet, lemme plug in my Apple Extended Keyboard II and call it a day!

@octothorpe @frngr @marioguzman While ultimately it wan’t for me, I recently got an AEK II hooked up to my mini with a homemade one of these:

Premade solutions exist, too.
On this power button though, smh. It obsoletes a bunch of under-desk and wall mounts, at the very least.

@incanus @frngr @marioguzman Yeah, I have an *ancient* ADB to USB-A converter (it's translucent blue, so you can date it that way!) that works… except the power button.

@octothorpe @frngr @marioguzman Some of them, like the Griffin iMate, have an undocumented battery inside to enable the power button. If yours does, it might just be dead!
