With more of us now having multiple fediverse accounts, I'm curious how people are handling differentiating them.

@edsu Yes, a/c is account. And tbh I havenβt used that books a/c for a while, so maybe they closed down.

@jon That would be ideal for me too.

@ricmac I use emoji after my name to differentiate my accounts.
:thisisfine: -> Main account
:laravel: :vue: -> Account that is mostly dev content
-> Pixelfed
-> LemmyI tried to add one to the account on my WordPress instance but I can't figure out how to do it.

@ricmac I use different background colors for mine (pink = Mastodon, blue = Pixelfed, yellow = Friendica, grey = federated Wordpress blog)

@pfefferle @ricmac grey is my favorite color to wear actually - but yeah I hear you! Maybe I'll go with mint green

@_elena ah, that's a nice idea too! Do you differentiate with your name at all? e.g. "Elena at Threads"?

@ricmac I too have multiple fediverse accounts, I wish there was a tool (if there ever is) where you upload your same avatar where there are some kind of fediverse icon on bottom corner (next to avatar) so it's easily identified which account is which. I saw something similar with Ivory app.

@shadow that's a good idea. I guess you can do it yourself with an image editor, but yes it would be nice to have a tool for that.

@ricmac that's a really nice idea. Ditto for adding tiny logos like @bekopharm suggested. Honestly 95% of my posts come from Mastodon... but I am using Friendica and my federated blog more and more so I should do something about that
