@liamvhogan @Taco_lad @elzbethmrgn @futzle Someone at the day job once proposed getting a fingerprint scanner for the front door so we didn't have to use fobs.
I, quite bluntly, said that if they did that I would not be participating.
"Then how will you get into the office?" was the response.
I sat there and waited for the penny to drop.

@Taco_lad @elzbethmrgn @futzle but back to my first principles which is ‘pay me’

@Taco_lad @liamvhogan @elzbethmrgn @futzle Absolutely one of the most depressing apps I was nearly involved in building was a time tracking app for lawyers. The differentiator was that it wasn't possible to *turn it off* you could only switch between tasks. In six minute increments. *Shudder*.

@brad @Taco_lad @elzbethmrgn @futzle the first week of one job I didn’t bill my whole working days through the week (because it was my first week I had not a lot to do). I was surprised and annoyed to only be paid for time billed to clients. I never did that again

@liamvhogan not sure "need to use...on their own phones" is right here - ruling seems to have hinged on the employer providing tokens as an alternative option?
