NodeBB on local server

Hi, Is there any way to install NodeBB on my PC running Windows 7 Ulitmate / Ubuntu 12.04 ? I guess WAMP is not an option. I would like to try the latest version. Also can you recommend any free host where I can do a test install and play with it ? Thanks.

I believe Digital Ocean has a $10 coupon for new users, which is enough for two months of service.

Hmm... Heroku, possibly. Other cloud providers, you may be able to get away with their free plans.

Unfortunately, this isn't like most PHP forums where you just drop the files and it works... requires a little bit more effort (usually a VPS instead of a shared host), so they don't really give those away freely

However, Heroku does offer a free plan, with Redis2go's free plan, you can cobble together a working NodeBB installation.
