People here hate algorithms and I get it. I don't get any engagement on platforms that have them.
However, if I don't tag something with enough relevant tags here, I get the same experience and I have 800+ followers, and if I tag TOO many things, someone bitches at me to stop doing that.
There HAS to be a better way to do this...
And I might not get engagement on this because I just don't know what to tag it now, in fear of offending *someone* with my tags...βοΈ

@BeAware food for thought: (hidden tags)
hrm now that I write that I wonder if it'll work... like if there's a way to make them the same color as the background... or that all-in-a-single-char-space trick

@WorMP3 lol. I just offended the dev of a Fedi project for including their project tag. This inspired this post.

@BeAware This to me falls under the βContent Warningβ like I get it, Iβll use it, if I deem that one is needed, but thatβs rare for me, some people like that, some donβt, but you shouldnβt be shamed into not using tags how you see fit.

@eljefedsecurit yeah, wish that could be a thing on Mastodon. I have seen posts that didn't seem to have tags, but IceCubes told me which tag was causing it to appear on my timeline. I think that was Friendica or something.

@WorMP3 yeah. I just have social anxiety and hate pissing off people when it's not the intention. It sucks. I wish there was a better way of discovery on Fedi.
But, here we are using hashtags like it's 2008 twitter.

@BeAware Yeah! Because itβs :quotesL: MyProject :quotesR:

@BeAware Hang in there! Remember, nothing is real here :blobsmilehappyeyes:
