What I find fascinating about social media:
There is almost a constant stream of white folks 'discovering' something heinous affecting/harming/exploiting/about the Black experience in America.
Whether it's Black history, the systemic racism of the criminal justice *system, Black maternal mortality, Black social determinants of health, code switching, whatever.
Someone's brain is getting a new wrinkle labeled 'Black folk knowledge.'

I kind of wondered if one of the purposes of segregation was to keep the white people who can feel empathy away from seeing just how bad structural racism is treating black people.
Social media poked holes in the invisible walls designed into cities by zoning codes and social class.
