Why would a military force try and impede the work of a news organization?
(I don't always agree with Al-Jazeera...mostly I stay away from boosting them. But they are a legit news source.)

@Adam_Cadmon1 the actual problem isn't the police raiding Al Jazeera, it's the police not raiding Channels 14, 13 and 12. (I'm pretty sure the raiders were the Border Guard, which are both police and military, so that counts ig)
Israel has laws about media objectivity and content percentage. 14 spreads flat out lies; and 13 and 12 use all airtime for advertisements, reality shows, and news (which is borderline illegal; they need to provide actual "value to society"). Those laws (plus some new ones) are being abused by Netanjahu to shut down Al Jazeera.
Now, the media in Israel is critically underregulated for years now - as the government refrained from regulating the media to maintain freedom of speech - but considering Netanjahu doesn't really care, we get a system where only one side of the story is legal. If the previous governments enforced Israel's media laws, we would have neither, and the war might've been over already, as Netanjahu wouldn't be able to spread his agenda everywhere.

@Adam_Cadmon1 (note, the police can only act with the authorization of the media authority, which is a separate body to the government. However, iirc, it doesn't have to)
